VERY LENGTHY POST! YOU BETTER READ IT IF YOU PLAN ON USING THIS JINKY COMPANY!! Long story short …USE SOMEONE ELSE! I don’t even know where to start with this company! I know these positive reviews on this page is fake! FACTS! They had to be paying for these! AND THEY GOING TO HAVE TO PAY ME TOO! 1) I was contacted by the salesperson Sandy! The first red flag was that she quoted me $2k on an invoice with an incorrect MC#! I have a pic of that! I had to do my research and Google this companies information to even make sure they are legit. During my research I stumbled across Guy’s phone number. I will be contacting him TODAY! He’s the owner of the company! He will know about this foolishness! Anyway, Sandy tells me a date they will pick the items up. Her and I discussed back and forth that I needed my items delivered before the 16th of September. Sandy says that’s fine I’ll put rush on the delivery. No extra charge. I guess they’ll say anything to get them to your house to pick up your stuff! Well, no one ever calls me about during a walk through or anything so I call back and updated my inventory list via email and I knew that it maybe a little more. Fine. Sandy sends a new quote back for $3500. The day of the move, a guy comes to my home in a Lexus SUV, comes upstairs with his paperwork and stickers and charges $6119. I said to the guy there is no way you double the cost like this. He says some of your boxes are larger then you stated. And you have more stuff. I live in a 870 sq ft apartment. I told them this on the first initial call. It’s not too much can fit in an LA apartment. I did have 10 Totes in my garage but I did not have $6k worth of stuff to move! I had 1 king size bed and dresser, and a 1 damn sectional couch. The rest were boxes!!!!!! The guy charged me for extra supplies, that’s fine I didn’t know everything had to be in a box! 1 TV box was $75 and they charged me $100 for crating! WTF IS THAT???! Extra supplies came up to roughly $400. Then they charged me $150 for using my elevator!!!!! Another $100 for something else! 9% fuel charge! Charged me for excessive size furniture bc a king size bed only means a mattress!!!! Lol His exact words! Never once asked me about the house I was moving too or anything (I’ll get back to this part)!!!! I was so upset during the moving and I felt taken advantage of bc I had to be out my apartment the next day. I did not have any other moving arrangements to cancel on them! I really wish I did. I asked the guy where was the movers, he said outside! I’m like how the world you come here double the cost of the move then have these men outside. How did you know I could even afford this!!!! The guy saw my frustration and my vulnerableness and he swindled me into signing documents that I didn’t even read over or he didn’t go through! The liability portion of the documents stated that they’ll only pay you $.60 per pound of damage good. That was option 2. Well, option 1 that he just skipped right over says that they’ll take full liability of damages. “Place total cost here, initial here, sign here, and date” !!! That’s all I heard! Never once gave me the option to read or even tried to briefly go over my options! And I knew it was some funny business going on bc he wanted me to write in my handwriting the cost, and make sure it seems like I understood what I was doing!! As a female, lacking knowledge of moving companies I was scammed !!!!!! The last white folder I was given to sign the guy asked me what day will I return from my trip I said 9/19. He tells me by “law” they have 21-30 day window to deliver my goods, so place that as my first delivery date. But in the notes put what day I’ll like my delivery on. I said please delivery between 9/13-16th. I said Sandy is aware of this and she said they’ll rush it. So I wouldn’t have to wait! They picked up the stuff on 9/8, so I figured this will be a great window for them to make sure my stuff is on a truck and headed to me by then! Well…that wasn’t the case !!! Stay tuned! The packers did a great job. They were careful and quick. Packed my stuff up and I tipped them like $60 dollars!!!!! 2) I make it to Houston on 9/11. I call Sandy on 9/12 and asked her an estimated time of delivery. She on the phone acting like she don’t recall one thing we tlk about before the pick up and she act like she didn’t see my notes on the white folder. She goes on telling me since I wasn’t ready for delivery on the 10th-12th I missed the truck to TX and she don’t know when the next truck leaving and that isn’t her department or concern. Told me I needed to talk to dispatching bc the documents says that I’ll be ready for delivery on the 16th. Why the hell will I say I’m ready for delivery on the 16th and I KNOW I WOULDNT BE AT THE HOME! I look at my documents the swindling moving rep actually wrote that down at the top of the documents !!!! I was livid!!!!! She tell me to call dispatch bc she can’t help and he basically tell me he don’t know when the next truck will be leaving for TX. Before we hang up she ask me “do you know how a cross country move go”…I replied, “lady I moved from Ga to Cali and it didn’t take no more than 7 days and it wasn’t $6k”!!!!!! She on the phone telling me that they are not brokers and they are the actual movers and they have all these great reviews and blah blah! BS! And my stuff will be there 4-10 days after the date I said I was ready for delivery! I just hung up bc right there I knew I was tlk to incompetent mfs! If my stuff was picked up on 9/8 and I asked it to be delivery anytime between 9/13-16, shouldn’t it be arranged to be on a truck so I can have it to me during that time?! Well, my stuff didn’t get delivered to me until 9/24! Go figure! It was hardcore math done. I had to constantly keep calling for an update. Finally on 9/20, I was told “oh it left the warehouse today” I said “great how long”…the customer service rep said “4-7 days”! FROM Cali to TX!??!! I’m thinking don’t fuss they must be carrying it on their backs across 3 states! I asked the rep can I get a call from someone with an update so I can take of work and be home during the delivery. The guy will call you the day before! Ok, I guess my job will have to understand short notice. Fine. I hang up. I don’t have the energy no more. 3) Delivery guy calls me 3 days later and says I’ll be there tomorrow. Fine. They get here he’s standing at my door like he see damn Pocahontas. I don’t see a truck or anything so I’m like “uh yea”…like who are you!!! He says I’m the delivery guy. Ok. He comes in and stands at my stairs and says “you paid for stairs?”. Im like excuse me I’m not paying for anything else ! What do you mean? He goes on to say I’m a 3rd party company. (BUT THEY NOT BROKERS…ummm hmmm) They paying me to move your stuff and they didn’t charge you for stairs. I said you have to take that up with them. Mr. Man tells me “I’m not moving anything up no stairs”. You need to call them! Well guess what?!? It’s Saturday and nobody ANSWERING THE PHONE BC THEY ARE CLOSED!!!! Then he says yes that’s 3 stories!!! Sir this is not 3 stories! Yes $150, first set free!!!! SIR, this is a damn curve in the stairs a total of 12 damn stairs!!!!! He goes on to say well $75 and zelle me right now!!! WOW!!!! Cool. I zelle him and pay him cash $2006!!! The first stuff they rolled in my home wasn’t mine!!!! I stopped them at the door! Who stuff is that?!? They looking me all dumb! That’s not mine and please get it out of here. Thank you!!!! Let’s back track really fast….at pick up I was charged for oversized/excessive sized furniture!!!! These 2 men were so damn small!!!! Small!!! Didn’t look like any type of movers!!! So I already felt some type of way about the stairs situation and how small they were! I told them majority of the boxes they could leave downstairs. When the bed came they complained and bout damn dropped it. It’s so banged up and chipped!!!! And the dresser I was charged for was left downstairs in my living room bc it couldn’t “fit up my stairs”. They didn’t even try at all!!! “Told me fuxk the dresser, get a crane, it is what it is”! His exact words. He said he has his own moving company and he knows this business! 5 years doing this and the dresser will not fit unless you have some huge mucho men!!!! I said I paid for oversized furniture why would they send small guys !!!!!!!? I broke down crying bc now I have to pay someone else to get the dresser up the stairs!!!!! Then it took them 4 hours. They started after 3pm and didn’t leave until after 7pm. They were literally rolling 2 boxes in every 10 minutes. Just a reminder all I had was the bed dresser, a small 2 seater table, and a 2 piece sectional ! 4 hours! Then the driver tried to hit on me asking me where was my husband and all this BS! Sir get my damn dresser up them stairs. “It’s impossible, it is what it is, I can’t help you”. I said I’ll remove the railing but you can’t leave it here! Nope. They left it. 4) I open up my belongs…everything that was marked fragile was smashed! I’m thinking it was done on purpose! ALL MY plates are completely smashed, but I’m assuming bc I was blindly told to sign a $.60 per pound liability I’ll probably get $2-3 for them! The boxes were completely destroyed! I went through and did inventory and I’m missing 4 boxes! I can’t really recall what all I’m missing as of now, but I’m sure I’ll figure it out! All the pics are below!!! 5) I’m waiting for them to open to speak to someone …ASAP!!!! I’m sure they’ll respond here and have some BS to say! But they asses will pay for all this turmoil, incomplete move, missing, and damaged goods!!!!!! Or they’ll be hearing from my lawyer! They picked the right customer today!
